Robo Guild

Hardware Pool · Node no. 1

Berlin goes first.

One arm pair bought. Three more on the list, bought as founding seats sell, and a fifth by vote. Steward: Alex Adamov. Venue: Motion Lab Berlin.

The fleet

Every robot gets a ship name, because nobody wants to book "unit 3". Founding members vote on every robot after these four.

One seat. Every robot Berlin ever gets.

Post-scarcity is a group project. Founding money buys the next robots, and you crew every ship in Berlin's fleet, including the ones that don't exist yet, for as long as the node runs.

How a loan works

  1. 1

    Book it in Discord

Every robot has its own thread. Ask for the next Guild Night slot; founding members get first pick.

  2. 2

    Collect at Guild Night

Pick it up at Motion Lab Berlin and leave a refundable Kaution (deposit) of roughly the robot's value.

  3. 3

    Take it home

Yours until the next Guild Night. Broke something? Say so that day.

  4. 4

    Bring it back

Complete and working means your full Kaution back.

Guild Night, weekly

Every week at Motion Lab Berlin. Bring a laptop and whatever you're stuck on. A member walks through what they learned, then robots change hands. Curious Guild members welcome.

Questions

I'm not in Berlin. Is this for me?

Yes, the Guild is: free, from anywhere. Only the Hardware Pool is local. Want one nearby? Propose a node, and Guild members near you get first call on its seats.

When do the next robots arrive?

Founding-seat money buys them, in the order on this page, as seats sell. A robot's stamp changes from Next up to Bought when it's ordered.

Do I own part of the robots?

No. The operator, Alex Adamov Digital Services, owns the fleet. Your seat buys access, a vote on new robots and first pick, not legal ownership.

When is Guild Night, and can I visit?

Every week at Motion Lab Berlin; day and time are on Luma and pinned in Discord. It's open to Guild members, so meet the fleet before taking a seat.

What is the no-freeloader fee?

A one-time fee on monthly memberships, so the people who join are the people who show up. Founding and yearly members never pay it.

How do I cancel a yearly or monthly membership?

Online, anytime, no login: use Cancel a membership (Verträge hier kündigen) at the bottom of every page. You get a confirmation email straight away. Monthly runs to the end of the paid month. Yearly runs to its first anniversary; after it renews, one month's notice is enough.
